As the gospel spread in the first century, there was a need for inspiration and miracles to help communicate and spread God’s word as they did not have the easy instant access to the Bible like we do today. Though we do not have the direct miraculous abilities of the Holy Spirit today, we are provided the skills and opportunities needed to convert and spread God’s word.
